** ABOUT THE PLAY **
1769. Chevalier D'Eon de Beaumont stepped out of the limelight as a French diplomat to England, Russian spy, Prussian war hero and international bon viveur only to step back in at the age of 41 as the woman she truly was.
Celebrity, intrigue and scandal aplenty, "D’Eon" is the bizarre and amazing true story of one of the most infamous, outrageous, unsung warriors of history and the first openly documented transgendered person in European history.
The play is set between the mid 18th Century and early 19th Century. D'Eon will be performed in the round.
A Straight Acting Theatre Company Production, written and directed by Edinburgh Fringe First and Dark Chat Best Director Winner, Renny Krupinski and produced by Alan Stuart Malin.
** AUDITION NOTICE **
The Straight Acting Theatre Company will be seeing actors for a variety of roles.
Please note that all roles are substantial and all actors will be required to play more than one character.
The play has a huge performing cast of 11 (4 Female and 7 Male) and 1 live Harpsichordist.
Auditions will take place week commencing 11th December in the Greater Manchester area (venue to be confirmed)

** PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS**
This is a paid opportunity and a guaranteed minimum of £100 per week will be paid to all performers regardless of their role.
The Straight Acting Theatre Company is currently awaiting the outcome of various funding and grant bids. If successful funding is secured by the Production Team, payment will be increased up to Equity minimum. This will be confirmed to all involved in advance of rehearsals.
Please note that prospective auditionees should be local to the Greater Manchester and surrounds area, as no subsistence or travel expenses will be paid for auditions, rehearsals or the run of the play.
Rehearsals will be in the Greater Manchester area (venue to be confirmed) acommence on Monday 22nd January 2018 for a 3 week period.
